In the countryside of North Carolina, a new generation of blacksmiths develops a reverence for craftsmanship. Students engage fire, metal and hand tools in a learning process that entwines trust with artistry. Lessons of humility, confidence, and skill emerge from behind a bed of flaming coals–lessons that are as refreshingly relevant today as they were two hundred years ago–especially to a generation of blacksmiths who forge with a phone in their pocket.
